Privacy policy

Spaceprint captures the sound of the places you choose. The spaces you capture, and the photos and notes you keep with them, are yours, and they stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

What Spaceprint collects

Nothing. Spaceprint doesn’t collect, store on our servers, share or sell any information about you or how you use it. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Send to Desktop connects directly to the computer whose pairing code you scan, on your local network. The website link in About opens it only when you tap it.

Your spaces, photos and notes

  • The microphone is used only while you capture a space, from the countdown until the space has gone quiet, and only to record that space. iOS asks your permission first, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone.
  • The camera is used only when you take a photo of a place, or in Send to Desktop to scan the plugin’s pairing code. Scanning frames are processed on your device, are not saved or sent anywhere, and scanning stops when you leave the scanner. iOS asks your permission first. Photos you choose from your library come through the system’s picker, which shares only the photo you pick. Spaceprint removes a photo’s location and other metadata when it keeps it.
  • The local network is used only by Send to Desktop, to connect to the computer you paired with. Spaceprint sends the spaces you select, and only after you tap Send: each space’s sound and its details (its name, the date, the place and note you wrote, and how it was captured: the device’s model and the processing settings). The original recording and photos stay on your device. There is no cloud relay or account. You can revoke access in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
  • Your spaces (their sound, their photo, place and note) are kept in the app’s own storage on your device, and removed if you delete the app. Spaceprint never asks for or records your location: the place is only what you type.
  • Nothing leaves your device unless you send it yourself, for example with Export Space or Send to Desktop, or when your device’s own iCloud backup includes the app’s data.

Buying the full version

Spaceprint is free to download; the full version is one in-app purchase, made once, never a subscription. Apple handles the purchase entirely: we never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. On your device, Spaceprint keeps only whether the full version is unlocked.

Children

Spaceprint is suitable for everyone and collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published here with its date, and in the app’s release notes.

This website

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other servers: no web fonts, no analytics and no trackers.
