Privacy policy

Grainfold is a musical instrument. What you record, import, play and make with it is yours, and it stays on your device.

What Grainfold collects

Nothing. Grainfold doesn’t collect, store on our servers, share or sell any information about you or how you use it. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It makes no network connections of its own; the Website, Support and Privacy Policy links in About open those pages only when you tap them.

Your recordings and files

• The microphone is used only when you tap Record, and only to record the sound you then play. iOS asks your permission first, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone.
• Recordings, imported files and exports are kept on your device, where the Files app shows them, under On My iPhone (or On My iPad) › Grainfold. Presets and your current project are kept in the app’s own storage on your device. All of it is removed if you delete the app.
• Nothing leaves your device unless you send it yourself, for example by sharing an exported file, or when your device’s own iCloud backup includes the app’s data.

Children

Grainfold is suitable for everyone and collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published here with its date, and in the app’s release notes.

This website

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from other servers: no web fonts, no analytics and no trackers.
