# Spaceprint 0.1.1 — macOS Apple Silicon VST3 preview

This download contains the complete `Spaceprint.vst3` effect bundle. It requires an Apple Silicon Mac and a native Apple Silicon VST3 host. It does not run on Intel Macs or in an Intel-only/Rosetta host. The binary targets macOS 11.0 and later; validation was performed on an Apple M4 running macOS 27.0.1.

The bundle is locally ad-hoc signed, **not Developer ID signed or notarized**. macOS may prevent a downloaded preview from loading. This is a development preview, not a notarized installer; follow your system's security guidance. An AU or standalone app is not included in this archive.

## Install

1. Quit your DAW and extract the ZIP.
2. In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder and enter `~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/`. Create the VST3 folder if it does not exist.
3. Copy the entire `Spaceprint.vst3` bundle into that folder, retaining its contents. To update, replace the existing complete bundle while your DAW is closed.
4. Reopen your native Apple Silicon DAW, rescan VST3 plugins if needed, and add Spaceprint as an effect on an audio track or return.

## Start with a factory space

A new instance loads **Velvet Room**. The selector's **Factory spaces** section also includes **Lantern Cathedral**, **Basalt Grotto**, **Redrock Narrows** and **Midnight Cistern**. All five are embedded in the plugin and require no phone, account, download or separate sample folder. These are original designed acoustics, not recordings of real locations.

Mix, Pre-delay, Length, Tone and Width shape the reverb. On a return track, use 100% Mix and adjust the send. Your own WAV and `.spaceprint` captures can be loaded with **Import capture**. Saved projects embed the selected IR and preserve the chosen sound.

## Receive from iOS

Connect your phone and Mac to the same private local network. Click **Receive from Spaceprint**, choose the network connection and click **Create pairing QR**. In the iOS app, open a saved space, choose **Send to Desktop**, scan the code, select captures and send. Allow Camera and Local Network permission when asked. Guest Wi-Fi may isolate devices. Send to Desktop requires the iOS full-version unlock; App Store availability is listed on the website. Factory spaces and WAV import work without the phone app.

## Preview scope

The Mac preview has five reverb controls and its captured-space visualization. The separately versioned Windows preview has additional controls, a live spectrogram and a different factory bank. The releases share the Spaceprint capture/transfer/state formats, but their version numbers do not imply identical features. Cross-platform DAW session interchange and physical-phone transfer still need end-to-end validation.

This build passed pluginval strictness 5, DSP and embedded-state tests, factory-package validation, and local-network regression tests. Real DAW checks and sustained performance qualification remain open. Long IRs and rapid IR switching at high sample rates with small buffers can cause dropouts; test your host and rendered output before relying on the preview.
